Once home, Steve gave Alex his broken locket and Alex said “I’m sorry Steve, this is not fixable.
Steve sighed heavily and said “I know I’m too old for redstone. But, Imma try it anyway.”
Noor said “I could try and fix it!”
Steve said “Maybe. If Alex can’t fix it”
Alex said “I’ll see what I can do”
About a month later tha=e locket was fixed and Alex gave it back to Steve and said “I did it. With some help from Noor”
Steve said “Aww thanks. By the way, they're coming by later today. They’ll be staying for a week and a half. I want all of you to be on your best behavior”
Noor said “Umm. There’s only two of us”
Steve said “Yeah.”
Then all the kids came down and said “We know best behavior.”
Zuri said “Do you want me to PvP either of them?”
“It’ll depend if they want to. They’ll definitely want to see all my battles”
All the kids said “You’ve never let us see any of your old battles”
“Zuri, I know I’ve let you”
Zuri said “Sorry”
Then Steve’s parents arrived.
Steve ran to the door and swung it open.
His father said “So, this is your place? May I please see all your awards?”
Steve nodded and led his dad to his room and said “Here they are”
His dad said “So. How about watching the tapes of your old battles?”
Steve nodded and said “Okay” and set up one of the tapes.
Steve’s mother then entered and said “Steve! You ruined my life! I wish the council would have never found us!”
Steve said “Mom, please. There are kids here”
“Do any of them like PvP?”
“Yes! Zuri does.”
“Zuri come here!”
Zuri came and said “Yeah?”
Steve’s mom said “Steve says you like PvP. I trust you to never drop out of school. That will really increase your skill staying in for the whole time”
Zuri said “But, Steve said he dropped out”
Steve said “Zuri! Now isn’t the time for your lies!”and chuckled
Zuri said “It isn't a lie and you know it!”
“I'm so sorry, I’ll have a talk with her in private.” and dragged Zuri up to his room.
He said “Now, I know I’m lying. I just don’t want my parents to know I dropped out.”
“Oh okay. So, I should just pretend you’re telling the truth?”
“Yes.”
“Now go!” and left with Zuri.
Steve’s parents said “So, did you drop out?”
Steve sighed heavily and said “Yeah. Please don’t disown me!”
Steve’s mother said “If we could we totally would!”
Steve’s father said “All good!”
“What”!”
“He doesn’t need a full education for a PvP legend!”
“He does! Remember, I worked for the council before the incident?”
“Oh. Right.”
Steve said “So, this whole time I’ve been a legend, I shouldn’t have been?!”
His mother said “I’m afraid so.”
Steve said “Welp, I guess I better call the council to have my name removed from the list” while crying.
His father said “Now Steve, you’re the first one in the family to make it to the hall of fame. Let’s think about this”
“Nope. I’m doing the right thing” and called the council and sighed heavily.
The council said “You calling because you want to do another battle?”
“No! Not even close!”
“Then why?”
“I never completed my education. I know I’ll have to be removed from all the PvP legends' things including; the list and the halls of fame.”
The council gasped and said “Steve! After all these years! You never thought to tell us?! Not telling us makes it so you have to sell your house!”
Steve started to cry and said “I understand. I’ll gather up the family and tell them the news. Do I at least get to keep what I had in it?”
The council said “Welp, based on how many championship games you’ve been in and the time it took for you to tell us, no. You have to leave everything with the house.”
Steve nodded and said “Even my precious PvP awards?”
“We’ll be coming by to take everything away from you tomorrow. Get used to being homeless because that’s what you’ll be pretty soon.”
Steve nodded and the ouncl said “Still.the minimum to make a difference in if the legend’s parents who are also legends age for the kid is 14. You have to leave without swords, armor, anything! Goodbye! Well… you may take NINE things for each member of your family”
Steve said “Bye” glumly and hung up.
He sighed and yelled “Mom! Get out of my life! I always wanted to see you again but now I know you, I know you are very mean to me for nothing! Leave this house and never return! Not like I’ll ever be able to return because the PvP council is taking everything!!”
Alex then ran down and said “What?! We’re losing our home?!”
“Yeah. We’ll have to live with a bunch of other broken down legends like me now.”
“I would’ve thought you wanted that”
“I mean I do. But, if they have kids, the kids have to give up their PvP”
Steve said “Guys! I need all of you to grab something we’ll be able to use without a house. No luxury items!”
Everyone nodded.
Steve’s parents said “We can assume we aren’t wanted”
Steve said “Yup”
Alex said “Geez why?”
“They ruined my life!”
“How? Oh, right. So sorry. I’ll take some swords.”
Steve then said “Okay so, each of you take nine items, one of you take swords, one of you take each type of armor,. BUT, if you take armor only take one type. Each of us needs a full set. picks. Crafting tables and most importantly my most prized awards”
Alex and all the kids nodded and said “Shouldn’t you say goodbye to all your villagers?”
Steve nodded and said “Yeah. All of you should come too”
Steve left his house with his family and once in the center of the village yelled “Everyone, I have to leave this village! I’ll be living with the other broken down old legends. I trust you to buy my house and take care of it. I don’t want some random person living in it”
Kathy said “Whatever you say. But who will become our protector?”
“I guess it’ll have to be Oliver”
Zuri said “Will we get to keep Toast?”
Steve crouched down next to Zuri and said “I’m sorry, maybe. Probably not though”
Zuri said “My precious bunny!”
Steve said “Go on cry.”
Zuri started to cry.
Steve said “Guys, we should carefully select our items. I need to decide if I’ll take my awards with me or beds.”
Alex said “Steve, I know this isn’t a good idea. But, you could take one award with you and me and you could alternate nights where we sleep”
Steve said “Nah. I’ll just take beds.”
Zuri said “Steve, I know this decision won’t make you proud of me but, I could go without a sword.”
Steve said “Aww. No! You have to live with Alex.”
“We will never see you again?!” said everyone else.
Steve said “Unless we go to the really expensive one”
Alex said “How much?”
“45,000 diamonds”
Alex said “Okay, We’ll do that”
Steve said “No! That’s only for the younger legends.”
Zuri said “I’m younger. Could I get you in?”
Steve said “Yeah! You could be our way in there!”
The next day, the council came by and sympathetically clucked at Steve and said “Pity you have to leave this beautiful home. It looks like you’ve had a lot of great memories here. We’ll tell you what. We’ll let you take a book of photos with you. You have to be out within a day though.”
Alex said “Steve? Are you ready to go?”
“We got an extra day. We get to keep the bunny”
Zuri said “Steve? Can I please take my only three PvP awards?”
The council said “No! You can however get a few pictures with them!”
Zuri said “But-”
Steve cut her off and said “I’ll make sure she follows the instructions.”
Zuri said “But why can’t I?”
Steve said “Zuri! You are now a PvP legend. You must listen to these people or they will remove your rank. Who knows if it’ll be temporary or permanent”
The council said “Zuri you are hereby removed from the legends list!”
Zuri said “Steve! Help me!”
“No! I’m in enough trouble as it is! How could you suggest that I help you?!”
Zuri whined “Please let me stay!”
Steve said “Sorry guys, et me have a talking to her”
The council said “We were going to partially keep you on the legends list. But now, you’ll be removed completely.”
Steve said “Zuri! You should be glad I’m not throwing you out the door and making you start to fend for yourself right now!”
Zuri said “No!”
“Yes! You know what? When we go, I will take no bed for you!”
Alex said “Steven! Yes you will! You will take a bed for everyone here!”
“Okay”
Zuri said “Steve, I’m sorry I ruined your life!”
Steve said “I’m taking all my special swords I’ve collected over the years. Plus one for Zuri.”
The council said “Oh and Steve your family’s legacy is-”
Steve cut them off and wailed “Don’t say it! I know what you’re going to say! I know you’re going to say "done!”
The council nodded and said “done”
Steve wailed “No!”
The council said “We’re afraid so. We’re going to do the ceremony tomorrow live-streamed”
Steve wailed “My life is ruined”
“The council said “Show up at the council building tomorrow at noon. Bring four other generations in your family”
Steve said “Okay. As you wish” glumly.
The next day at noon Steve was at the council building with four other generations of legends in his family.
The council said “Goodbye Steve’s family legacy.” and pulled a switch.
Steve ran for the switch but his parents stopped him.
His father said “Steve! If you touch that, our family will be in even worse trouble! We’re already the greatest family of PvP failures now!”
Steve said “What could be worse than that?!”
