Once inside, he yelled “Kids!! All of you come to the living room!”
All the kids rushed into the living room and asked “What is it Steve?”
Steve said “Well… I don’t have to care for you anymore. All your parents are back! Tonight in the village, we’ll be having a fancy dinner.”
All the kids looked at each other then at Steve and said “But, you are really nice to us.”
Steve said “Actually, when we got back, I was planning on making you only have one meal a day and no tech as punishment for breaking my PvP wand.”
All the kids said “May we please go back to the basement for an hour longer?”
Steve said “Well…. This is your last chance in this house except for when your parents come over here for parties.”
All the kids rushed back down to the basement. An hour later, all the kids came up carrying a card.
Steve said “This attempt to make me feel better is pitiful! Just leave them all on the coffee table please.”
All the kids then said “Please can we see you play video games?”
“No! Now go find your parents!”
Carol then came in and said “Steve, I would recommend only taking five families out at a time.”
Steve said “No! I have a way of doing this!”
All the kids left and Steve followed them out.
Steve announced “alright villagers find your kid or kids!”
All the adults then rushed towards the kids and found their kids. After everyone had come up, there was one kid who had nobody claim them.
Steve said “Kid, you okay?”
“No! I have to live with you forever! I hate you!”
All the villagers said “Why would you hate Steve?”
The kid said “I have my reasons. I don’t want anyone knowing.”
Steve said “Would you like to tell me?”
“In secret please”
Then some adults came and took the kid.
Steve went back to his house and said “finally the house to myself again!.... I miss the little villagers.” and sighed heavily.
Then a ton of young villagers came to the door and said “Steve? You want us to stay with you longer?”
Steve said “Well….. no thank you. I finally have the house to myself again and I don’t want to have to pay any more diamonds because of you than I already do.”
The kids hung their heads shamefully and said “We understand. You don’t want to go broke paying for things we break. We’re so sorry we broke your PvP wand. We only hope you can forgive us.”
Steve said “Well…. It’ll be hard. But, I’ll try.”
“Thanks”
About two hours later, it was dinnertime. Steve came out of his house and found everyone had brought something really fancy.
Steve said “Guys! What did I tell you about these? I told you all to only bring one thing, not five because I can ever try anything if you make five things.”
“Sorry we just forgot because we hadn’t done this in so long.”
“It’s okay guys. I forgive you. But those kids…… I will NEVER forgive.”
“Wait what?!”
“They ruined my PvP career!”
“What did they do?”
“They touched the PvP items that require a certificate for usage and then the PvP rule enforcements took them away!”
“Oh. Kids! No dinner for you tonight!”
All the kids whined “But…. We want a nice full village dinner! That rarely ever happened and we haven’t done that in years!”
“We don’t care! You have to stay at the table to make sure you don’t get Steve into more trouble!”
Steve said “I think that no dinner is a good punishment for them ruining my whole PvP career! Maybe even for a week!.”
All the kids glared at Steve and said “Why did you suggest that?!”
All the adults looked at Steve and then at each other and then at their kids and nodded and said “Steve’s punishment for you stands. One week with no dinner!”
All the kids glared at Steve and whined “Steve! How could you?!”
“I wanted to teach you guys all a lesson!”
“We made you apology cards! What more do you want?!”
All the adults said “We all know what he wants! Don’t be rude!”
Steve said “It’s okay. These villagers have gotten me into so much trouble.”
“What did they do?”
“Well, for one they made me have to use my last chance for those PvP meetings ‘I often attend. They nearly got me banned from PvP multiple times. Chip and Tristan stunk up my house with their moldy stuffed animals and they nearly got me banned from my favorite store. They cost me over 100,000,000 diamonds. They made me say the worst word in Minecraft many times. They broke my PvP wand and used the other tools that require a certificate to use. Lastly they caused all my PvP tools to get taken away.”
All the adults said “Steve! You’re being nice! We’ll make those kids work off their debt to you until you have what you had before you had to watch them. They are grounded for as long as it takes for your debt to be repaid.Also, we won’t let them have dinner for two months!”
All the kids whined “But, mom and dad!-”
All the adults cut them off by saying “But nothing! You cost Steve his passion! Please tell us you can still compete in the big PvP games.”
“I can. BUT, I don’t get to pick what I use. The people who took away my tools decide or me”
All the adults said “Steve. We’re sorry about what those kids did to you. Is there anything else they did to you?”
“Yes. Tristan threw dog poop at my head when I was driving him and a few friends home from a party. He also threw dog poop at me many more times. I think it was 25 or more”
All the adults said “Wait?! You helped Tristan make friends?!”
“Yes.”
“Oh my gosh! We can’t believe it! Are they in the village?”
“A village but not this village.”
“We’ve all been trying desperately to help him. How did you do it?”
“Actually, the villagers did the work. I just took all of them to a party I was invited to and could bring as many guests as I wanted.”
“Wait? Do you even know what village they live in?”
“Nope.”
“How much debt did they cause you to get in?”
“Umm 1,005,000,000 diamonds and 500,025,000 emeralds plus a little Alex and Carol had to pay. But, that’s already been paid.”
All the adults gasped and said “Geez! That’ll take them years to pay back.”
“Umm I only have two years.”
“We’re all sorry. We don’t think they’ll be able to pay that much back in that long.”
Steve began to cry.
The adults said “We could all pitch in and help you.”
“No, I think I got it.”
“Are you totally sure?”
“Yes…. well actually….. 500,000 diamonds and 50,000 emeralds from each of you would be appreciated”
The adults said “Kids! Give Steve all your diamonds and emeralds!”
Steve said “No, no. That’s unnecessary.”
“We want them to learn a lesson!”
“Don’t you think your punishment was enough?!””
“No!”
All the kids whined “But we were perfect for the 10 years we stayed with him.”
Steve groaned and said “No, you really weren't, all you did was cost me money!”
The villager that was last to be picked up said “Steve, I just stayed in the basement except for meals. Did I cost you anything? Also can I please tell you now?”
“Wait, when we went to the pool you stayed home? Also Sure. Tell me right now.”
“No, whenever you all went out, I came with you and Remember, I said I wanted to tell you in secret?”
“Oh yeah right. You can tell me right after dinner.”
The kid said “Fine.”
The adults said “Kids! Remember to give him all your diamonds and emeralds.”
All the kids rushed to get their diamonds and emeralds.
Steve said “It’s fine. I don’t really need that much help.”
The adults said “Kids! Steve has convinced us to cancel your punishment…. Well the giving him all your diamonds and emeralds is part of it. The no dinner part still stands!”
All the kids ask “can we eat dinner tonight?”
All the adults look over at Steve who nods and says “Okay. Only because it’s a special night.”
About two and a half hours later, everyone had finished their dinner. Steve felt like he was going to burst.
Steve quickly walked back to his house and went up to his bed.
He groaned loudly and said “Urrg. That was just dinner and dessert is usually more filling. Urrg.”
About an hour later Steve felt better. But, by that time it was 10:30 and Steve decided to look out the window to see if the villagers were still out there. He found all of them were. He ran outside and said “I’m so terribly sorry it took me so long to feel better.
All the villagers said “Shhh not so loud, almost all the children are sleeping out here. Maybe we should just have dessert tomorrow.”
Steve said “But what about the story?” as quiet as possible.
Then an enderman screeched. Everyone woke up and rushed to their house. Steve ran back home. The next morning he was mortified to see what had happened to his village. It looked like a bunch of creepers had attacked. Steve walked out of his house and saw there was one villager crying in the center of the village. Steve walked up to them and said “Hello, what’s wrong?”
The villager turned around. It looked like they had been crying for hours. They sniffled and said “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Steve nodded and said “Okay, I understand”
The villager yelled “Fine! Stop asking me questions! I’ll tell you if you stop.”
Steve said “Umm I didn’t ask you any questions after you said you didn’t want to tell me.”
“Oh.”
Then all the other villagers came out and saw what had happened and yelled “Why did you let this happen?!”
Steve burrowed his face in his hands and said “I went to bed instead of protecting the village. I understand if you want to leave the village and never return.”
All the villagers said “We know you are extremely afraid of endermen. So, we forgive you.”
Steve said “Okay, thank you.”
Then the villager who said they didn’t like Steve came up to Steve and said “I want to tell you now.”
Steve said “Not now. I just woke up.”
“Please?”
Steve rolled his eyes and said “Fine! Come on to my house.”
The parents of the kid said “Can we please come with you guys?”
The kid said “I really would like it if nobody else other than me and Steve knew the reason.”
Steve says “Maybe your parents can come in case the reason offends me.”
The kid said “Umm no. I really would only like it if Steve knew the reason.”
Steve said “Fine. Can I please tell your parents the reason?”
“No! I can tell them. They can come with us.”
Then the kid and their parents came with Steve to his house.
The kid said “Can we please go to your room? I don’t want anyone else in the village to hear the reason”
Steve shut the door and nodded and they all went to Steve’s room. Steve shut the door and all of them sat on the bed.
The kid said “Well….. There are many reasons why I don't like you. The main one is you remind me of a creeper-”
Steve got all red and yelled “How do I remind you of a CREEPER?!”
The kid said “You get angry over the littlest things.”
Steve looks at the parents and they nod and say “It’s true Steve. You’re kind of too much for little Eddy. He hates people with your-”
Steve says “Go ahead, say it. Anger issues. I know I have them. I’ve tried stopping them. But, I just gave up.”
The adults looked at Steve and said “Not how we were going to put it. But pretty much what we were going to say.”
Eddy said “Also, I think I like Alex and Carol”
The mother said “We all do honey.”
The kid said “No, not like that. I mean like like”
Steve said “It’s okay you can say love here”
“Okay, I love them.”
Steve said “Give me a minute, I’m hungry. Let's continue this over breakfast”
Eddy said “Can we have pizza?”
The parents looked at Steve and said “Did you let them have pizza for breakfast?”
“Only once a month.”
The parents said “Yeah. Now they will ask for it every month.”
Steve said “All I have is toast”
The villagers said “That will have to do then.”
Eddy said “Can we have cheese on it?”
The parents said “No!”
Steve quickly made toast and gave everyone a piece.
Once everyone had sat down, Steve said “It’s fine. I really don’t mind if you love both of them”
Eddy says “Really?”
The parent said “So Eddy is there anything else you don’t like about Steve?”
“He haunts my nightmares and one time when I fell into the well he poisoned me.”
Steve says “Umm I would NEVER do that. Oh dear! It may have been my twin Herobrine! I always knew he would get revenge on one of my villagers.”
Eddy said “Also I hate how you smell”
Steve said “Okay, so if I stop getting angry about little things and wait, what was the last thing you said?!”
“I hate how you smell.”
Steve turned red with rage and said “I smell FINE! Thank you very much!”
The parents said “We’re sorry Steve, sometimes Eddy just doesn’t know what he’s talking about. You smell fine.”
Eddy said “Yeah NOW! But when he was watching us he smelled like he had rolled in dog poop!”
“Because I only had the time to bathe once a week because I was watching all of you!”
“Oh. You still kind of smell like dog poop.”
Steve said “I was thinking about adopting a bunny and letting all the children pick a name and the most popular one wins and if there’s a tie there being a redo with the winners. But, now you’re out!”
The adults said “What happened to your cat?”
Steve began to cry. He said “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Eddy said “Yeah Tristan killed the cat. Oops I wasn’t supposed to let Steve know that.”
Steve yelled “You let me believe I stabbed him with one of my swords in my sleep?! You kids are worse than I ever imagined!”
The parents said “Wait? Do you sometimes sleep PvP?”
“No”
“Oh.Why did you think you did it?”
“I don’t know!”
Then the adults said “We’re sorry about this Steve but now that we think about it. You kind of smell like dog poop.”
Steve turned red with rage and said “One more remark like that from any of you and you will be BANISHED from this village.”
The parents said “Surely you can’t be serious.”
“Really want to take that chance?”
“No.”
Eddy said “But you do smell like-” the mother then covered Eddy’s mouth and said “vanilla”
Steve said “Geez. Don’t humor me”
Eddy then pushed his mom’s hand away and said “Dog poop”
Steve turned red with rage and hollered “That’s it BANNED! Get out of my house!”
The villagers ran out in tears.
Steve followed them at a distance. When they entered their house Steve knocked on the door. Eddy answered the door and said “Oh, it’s YOU. The one who can’t take an insult.”
The parents then arrived at the door and said “We’ll be out in three months. Tonight can we please have another special dinner?”
“Well…. We just did last night. So, no!”
Eddy’s dad said “Is there any way of healing the wound we gave you?”
“Yes! But you have to figure it out on your own!”
“Being allowed to pick what you use in big PvP games again?”
“No! Well… that may help. But that’s not it!”
“Can we please tell the rest of the villagers?”
“Yes. The day before you move out!”
They all looked at each other and the parents said “As it is your village, we have to go by what you say.”
Eddy said “Please don’t make me go! This village is the only home I’ve ever known”
Steve said “You have two weeks to figure out how to get unbanned. If you don’t…… well you will be kicked out.”
The mother says “Tough but fair.”
“Okay bye. No hints.”
As soon as they were out of Steve’s hearing range, the mother said “I think it’s a heartfelt apology. Eddy, you need to write the best apology you ever write. Better than that one you wrote to Steve on the last day you stayed with him and the one you wrote when you accidentally woke up the whole village including Steve put together.”
Eddy said “I have nothing to apologize for! He really does smell like dog poop!”
“That may be true but you don’t have to rub it in his face.”
“Okay. I’ll do it tomorrow.”
“No! You’ll do it now!”
“Okay, get me a prewritten.”
“No! Has to be written by you with little help from us.”
Then all of them went to the dining room with paper and Eddy started to write. I wanted to write a letter to say sorry for what I did. What I did was horribly cruel. You aren’t upposed to have to live with thinking you did something you didn’t do and smelling worse than you actually do. I have robbed you of your dignity. Although I will never know how this feels for you, I know it probably feels like an enderman taking the key block for your build. You have only shown me kindness when you were watching us. To hurt you like this is an insult to everything you ever did for the village. I take full responsibility for what I did. Just sorry isn’t enough, I will be happy to do everything you for a year free of charge for a month. I can never expect complete forgiveness but I hope for it. I only hope we will not get banned from the village and eventually want us to visit you again.
Eddy’s mom said “Great! Now sign it and direct it.”
Eddy addressed and signed the letter. His mom put it in an envelope and told him to give it to Steve.
Meanwhile, Alex and Carol were sitting on either side of Steve and comforting him.
Eddy then walked over to Steve’s house and knocked on the door. Carol answered the door and said “Steve! It’s Eddy!”
“Tell him to go away!”
Eddy says “May I please come in?”
Steve sighs and says”Sure whatever.”
Eddy enters and puts the letter on the coffee table. Steve picks it up and reads it.
Eddy was saying “Please forgive me.” under his breath.
Steve nodded and said “Fine! You have one extra month to stay here. If you work for me free of charge for a month. Do you have a phone?”
“No.”
“Then you have to sleep in my room for the next month!”
“Okay. Let me first tell my parents” and ran to tell his parents.
Five minutes later, he came back and said “They said ‘as long as they see me all day once a week’”
Steve nodded and said “Thursday.”
“They said Sunday”
“Too bad! You didn’t say that until after I said Thursday. Now give me a foot rub!”
Eddy cringed and said “Okay”
Steve said “And on Thursdays you still have to work for me but your parents will be here.”
“What?!”
“Your letter didn’t say anything about off days.”
“Fine.”
Eddy started to give Steve a foot rub. After he was done, Steve said “Now clean the bathrooms!”
Alex said “Don’t you think you should give him a break?”
“No! My schedule is very tight for next week. As a matter of fact, in a week I’m meeting with the PvP council to see if I can do regular PvP again and I really need the house to be perfect.”
Eddy said “Excuse me Steve, I know you could get in serious trouble for having this but I crafted you a netherite sword. Enchant it however you want.”
Steve said “Thanks. I’ll take it after they leave.”
Then there was a knock on the door. It was all the villagers. They all dropped the diamonds and emeralds Steve had requested onto the floor.
Steve said “Eddy! The bathrooms aren’t going to clean themselves!”
Eddy left to look for the cleaning supplies while Steve cleaned up and counted the diamonds and emeralds and found he was a little over the required amount. Steve then called the people who took the things away and said “I have enough to pay you back.”
