Steve picked it up and felt it. Steve found it had the harming and poison status effect enchantment.
Steve began to cry. He put the sword in his bag and left with his bag.
The doctors said “Great job! You won’t have to resign your swords.”
Steve said “Actually…. I do”
The doctors said “Oh we’re so sorry. At least you get to keep your PvP things that aren’t swords. Right?”
No response
“Right?”
No response.
“We said right?”
Steve yelled “Wrong! Totally wrong! I have to resign all my PvP stuff when I get home!”
Steve then ran back to his room, tears streaming down his face. He belly flopped right onto the bed and wailed “I’ll lose it all! My PvP stuff! My family’s legacy! Everything!”
Chip came to Steve and lovingly patted him on the shoulder. Steve pushed him away.
Steve said “Chip, I know I’m allowed to leave today… but I think we should stay here a little longer.”
“Why?! I hate it here!”
“Okay, so turn on the news”
Chip turned on the news. The reporter said “Steven Stonecutter is still nowhere to be found! A team of searchers are searching his house from top to bottom looking for him.”
Chip said “Oh. You have to be sent back to hardcore?”
“Probably AND I’ll lose all My PvP things.”
Chip said “Please take me home”
Steve rolled his eyes and said “Fine. But, you have to back me up when they ask me questions.”
“Deal.”
The reporter said “We just found a broken tool that Steven Stonecutter was supposed to test out. He will be charged a grand total of 1,000,000,000 diamonds and 500,000,000 emeralds to replace plus 5,000,000 diamonds and 25,000 emeralds for a penalty for letting others touch .”
Steve yelled “No! No! No! No! No! No! No! This can’t be happening! I’m going to go broke because of these kids!”
Chip then pulled at Steve’s pant leg and said “Am I one of them.”
“Yes you are. All of you are. You know what, I came up with the ultimate punishment for all of you.”
“What is it?”
“Umm I’ll tell you at home.”
Steve and Chip then went to the car and drove back home.
Once there there were lots of bright lights and everyone was asking questions.
Steve yelled “Please guys one at a time!”
Everyone asked an obvious question. But, someone asked “Where were you and why did you let the kids touch those PvP items that require a certificate for usage?”
“Umm I wasn’t home, I was at the hospital with Chip.”
“Oh. Do you have the money to replace the broken PvP wand?”
“What?! They broke the wand?! Oh dear, dear, dear. Tsk Tsk Tsk”
“Yes”
“No I don’t have the money to repair it”
Alex then came out of the house in chains.
Alex said “I paid the store back with my personal savings combined with Carol’s”
Carol then came out in chains.
They said “Steven Stonecutter surrender all your PvP things. Even the ones that require a certificate for usage.”
Steve said “But…. Those training courses were 12 hours each!”
“Too bad!”
Steve went inside and handed in everything he had that was related to PvP in tears. His house only had a few things once they took everything. Steve slowly handed in the sword he had just gotten at the hospital.
Steve began to cry.
The person who took it said “Listen, I could get in serious trouble for this but, you can keep two of your PvP things if you want.”
Steve carefully chose the new sword and the broken wand.
The person said “Are you sure you want a broken PvP wand?”
“Yes. I won’t have to pay for repairs if I do.”
“Actually you still will. I would recommend the freeze ray.”
“Still the wand. I can get some cheap redstone repairman to repair it for me.”
“They wouldn’t be able to help you. I can lower the fee if you want.”
“How much would it be lowered to?”
“10,000 diamonds and 500 emeralds.”
Then someone came in yelling “Manny! Stop trying to lower the price! Geez! One more try and you’re out of a job!”
Steve said “How long do I have to pay you for the repairs?”
“Two years”
“Oh, I think I can handle that”
“Oh wait, you have to unregister for the PvP game of the eon next year.”
Steve begged “Please no! I’ll give you my arena free of charge.”
“We still have to. Also, you get one PvP item for the rest of your life…. Use it wisely.” and handed over an iron sword.
Steve said “But… this is iron. It only has 131 uses before it snaps. Can I at least enchant it?”
“No!”
Steve sighed heavily and said “I guess it’s my only choice. Can I please also keep my PvP awards?”
“Sure” and handed back all the awards.
Steve began to cry. The person who gave the sword to Steve said “You may still participate in the PvP game of the eon next year”
Steve instantly stopped crying and sniffled and asked “Really?”
“Yes. We’ll have to watch you though.”
“Like that makes a difference… I had an audience for my battles and have always had an audience for my battles.”
“Okay. We’ll choose your weapons for it.”
Steve gulped and said “Fine! If you don’t take Alex!”
All the villagers said “Oooh you love her!” mockingly.
Carol said “Stevie! No!”
“I love Alex more than you! Deal with it!”
Carol then started to cry.
Steve said “Okay fine! Leave both of them”
They released Alex and Carol. Carol ran to her house in tears.
Steve followed her at a distance. When she entered her house she slammed the door. Steve went up to the door and knocked..
Carol answered it in tears. When she saw it was Steve, she cried even harder and wailed “Can’t you tell I just need some space?! You destroyed my heart like a creeper does a sand block!”
Steve lovingly said “Carol, Carol, I always have loved you more than Alex. But, recently I love Alex more.”
Carol invited Steve in.
Steve saw how many pictures of him she had and said “Geez! You really do love me!”
Carol said “I’ve loved you since the first time we met when we were eight!”
Steve then remembered something that happened when he was eight and smiled to himself.
Carol asked, “What’s so good?”
Steve said “Oh nothing, I just remembered something that happened when I was eight years old”
“Can you tell me more about it?”
Steve shrugged and said “Okay here we go again.”
Alex then came to the door and Carol answered it.
Then all of them went over to the couch and Steve began, “So, I was super into redstone when I was younger. I think it was up until I was eight. One day, my brother was watching a PvP game on the TV. He was taking notes on it. I asked ‘why are you watching this? You like building, adventuring and mining. You hate PvP!’ He said ‘I know. But this is for school. Would you like to join me watching this?’. I said ‘sure’ Not knowing PvP would be my life. After the battle my brother had to watch for school, my brother was turning off the TV. I said ‘stop!’ and he didn’t turn it off. I watched four more games back to back. After the fifth battle, I told my adopted mother that I wanted to do PvP. One week later, I was going to my first PvP game. I lost. I still have the 30h place trophy. But, now that I look back at my PvP games, I had really bad strategies for the first few PvP games. So, my PvP obsession started when I was eight. Also a week after my first PvP game, my adopted mother bought me a professional grade PvP sword and took me to the PvP game of the decade. At the PvP game of the decade I got my sword I used in my first battle signed by the best PvPer at the time, Oliver Olivander. He said he didn’t even want to be a PvP legend and wanted to be an announcer for s PvP legend.”
Carol said “Oh, so you met Oliver at a pro PvP game?”
“Yeah”
Alex said “Oh, so you used to love redstone?”
“Yeah. I was a natural at that”
“Why did you drop it? Redstone is a lot less dangerous than PvP”
“I was more passionate about PvP”
“Seemed to us that you loved redstone too!”
“I just chose to not continue because it was boring.”
“Oh, well…. Maybe you can try again?”
“Why?”
“Well…. One of the kids somehow got onto your computer in your room and signed you up for a really expensive to enter redstone tournament”
“How expensive?”
“I think 500,000 diamonds.”
“All those kids do is cost me money! Sometimes I wish they would die!”
Alex and Carol spat out the sip of tea they were drinking and said “What?! I thought you loved all the villagers!”
“I know! I used to! But now that I have to care for so many of them…I don’t”
“Oh”
Carol said “Steve, I’m sorry to break this to you. But, Alex is the one that let the kids touch your special PvP things.”
Steve glared over at Alex and yelled “Why did you tell them they could?!”
“I just didn’t know they weren’t supposed to”
“Oh that makes sense. But the catch is…. Alex! I never want to see you again!”
“What if I pay you for the wand to be repaired?”
“That may work…. Unlikely though.”
“Better than nothing!”
“No, the chances are a quintillionth of a percent.”
“Better than zero”
“You really want to make this up to me don’t you?”
“Yes”
“Fine. You can convince the people who took all my PvP things except for an unenchanted iron sword to let me have all of my things back and pay for my wand repairs.”
“Deal.”
Carol shoved Steve and said “Steve! Why did you tell her how to make it up to you?”
“Well, I don’t want to go breaking any hearts”
Carol and Alex started to cry and said “Steve, you have a very noble heart. We’d be honored if you got with us forever.”
Steve started to blush and said “Seriously? Nobody has ever called me noble.”
“Really? We highly doubt that”
“Well…. It’s true”
Then Kathy came to the door. Carol answered it.
Kathy rushed in and said “Steve! You’ve got to see this! It’s a miracle!”
Steve got up and went outside. Outside he found all the adult villagers that had died so many years ago alive again.
Steve was purely confused and said “I’m not the only one who’s seeing this right?”
All the villagers looked up from what they were doing and said “Steve?! I can’t believe it’s really you! How’s it been?”
Steve said “I probably just had a bad potion. This isn’t real!”
All the villagers said “It is real”
Steve ran back to his house in tears of joy.
