He got back into his car and went back to his taiga village. Only to find it was abandoned except for Tristan.
When Tristan saw Steve he ran up to him and said “Steve? Is everything alright?”
Steve sighed heavily and said “First tell me what happened here.”
Tristan began “Well, two years after you left griefers slayed all the villagers but me and Crystal. Crystal is in her house crying her little heart out because her boyfriend is gone and yeah. Chip is still alive but he’s lost in your mine. I get a text from him every day. Now, tell me what’s up with you!”
Steve sighed heavily and said “I will when I’m ready. Also what have you been eating?“
“Well….we have been eating mostly apples”
“Well at least you’re eating fruit”
Chip then came out of Steve’s mine and said “Whew that was unforgettable”
Steve sighed heavily and said “Get Crystal. I’ve got to tell you all a very important thing” and began to sob.
Then Chip and Tristan went to Crystal’s house and came back with Crystal.
Steve began to cry and pulled Carol and Alex out of the car.
Tristan, Chip and Crystal all said “Yeah. They’re just asleep. Right?”
Steve shook his head no and said “I wish that were the case. But…” he erupted into tears “They’re dead”
Crystal said “Steve, maybe a nice bath will calm you down.”
Chip said “Yeah because boy oh boy do you stink like the griefers that killed or took everyone but us”
Crystal said “Chip! Apologize right now! His girlfriends are gone! And will probably never come back”
Chip said “Sorry”
Tristan said “Steve, I’ll help you to your room. We can give you as much alone time as it takes to feel better”
Steve said “Tristan, Thank you.You’re my favorite remaining villager.” and leaned on Tristan who helped Steve to his bedroom while Steve was carrying Alex and Carol.
Tristan asked, “Anything else you need?”
“No thanks. The offer is very kind. But, I think I can handle it. Do you have a phone yet?”
“Yes. I can enter my number into your phone if you want”
Steve pulled out his phone and got on it. Tristan entered his phone number into Steve’s phone and Steve entered his number into Tristan’s.
Tristan said “If you ever need anything just call me. Okay?”
Steve nodded and said “Okay. Would you like me to spend a day with you?”
“No, I know you've been through a lot lately and I’m the one who’s here for you.”
Steve then remembered everything that Tristan had done and said “Alright Tristan! I remember what you did to me. And I want you to know that I want to forgive you.”
Tristan said “Whew!”
Steve said “Now go tell Crystal and Chip I need a lot of alone time.”
Tristan asked “Would a PvP battle cheer you up?”
“Unlikely”
Steve then saw Alex’s mouth move and heard her voice say “Steve, don’t give up! I can respawn.”
Steve said “Alex? Is that you?” and started to cry
Tristan said “She’s gone. You may just want her to be alive so bad you’re hearing her speak”
Steve nodded and said “Thanks for telling me. I thought it was too good to be true”
Steve then looked at the time and noticed it was dinnertime.
He said “Tristan, would you mind making dinner for me?”
“Sure! I’ll make my specialty”
“Fine!”
Tristan then ran downstairs and made dinner for Steve and the rest of the villagers. ‘
When dinner was ready, he yelled “Dinnertime”
Steve slowly went back downstairs to the table only to find the other villagers eating their dinner.
When he tried it it was way too sweet and salty for his taste.
He said “Tristan, maybe tomorrow I can make dinner”
“You sure you’re ready?””
“Not really.”
Steve then finished his dinner and went up to his room in tears.
All the villagers followed him.
Tristan knocked on the door and said “Steve? You okay?”
Steve said “Come in and I’ll tell you what’s wrong.”
Tristan entered the room with the other villagers.
Steve began to cry and wailed “I’ve lost everyone that matters to me!”
Tristan said “Oh. Steve, we have some news that may make you feel better. Also, do we not matter to you?!”
“Well… you do matter to me. But, not as much as everyone I lost”
“Good. The news is all the villagers but us died of skeleton arrows. Creepers destroyed the golems and then the skeletons came.”
Stteve began to feel his anger boil inside him and he said “Everyone please get out! If one more thing angers me, I’m going to get really aggressive towards everything.”
Tristan left and so did Chip because they remembered what they did to Steve. Crystal however, tried to get onto Steve’s computer and succeeded because she was the one that had signed him up for the redstone tournament all those years before. Steve saw that and then his anger boiled more violently. Crystal then went onto the PvP website and clicked resign.
Steve then erupted into pure rage. He ran over to Crystal and grabbed her and threw her as hard as he could at his door repeatedly. After that, he opened his door and threw Crystal out the door and slammed the door.
Tristan knocked on the door and said “May I come in?”
Crystal said “No Tristan! You’re the kindest villager remaining here, we don't want you to get all traumatized by this.”
Tristan says “I know what to do! I just need to snag his phone and log onto it. So I can play his calming playlist”
Crystal said “Okay we need all three of us for this!”
Then Steve was at the door and yelled “What is it?!”
Tristan said “We would just like to borrow your phone.”
“For what??! So you can go to the PvP hall of fame website and cancel my next talk with them!” And began to throw a punch at Tristan
Tristan said “Steve, please? I know somewhere deep in that pile of creepers is a sword that wants to kill all those creepers.”
Steve was less than an inch away from punching Tristan. Steve instantly stopped, grabbed Tristan and carried him downstairs and threw him out the door and yelled “Banned! This time you have no Alex to save you!” and slammed the door and stormed back to his room.
Crystal knocked on the door and Steve opened it quickly and yelled “Do not disturb!” twice as loud as he thought he could yell.
Crystal said “Chip, what’s the plan to get his phone again?”
Steve heard that and snatched Crystal up and threw her out his window”
Chip said “Welp, I guess it’s up to me.”
Chip carefully thought about how he was going to grab Steve’s phone then he said “Steve-” he trailed off.because he thought what if he told the truth about why they were trying to grab his phone.
Steve said “What is it!? If you don’t talk… I’ll make soup out of you!”
Chip said “We were just trying to get your phone to calm you down. You being like this scares us.””
Steve then suddenly calmed down, looked at the time and said “Geez that was the longest I’ve ever been in that state. Two whole hours! Geez! I need to see what set me off to see if it was reasonable and what damage I did to see if I can repair it.”
Chip said “Well, you threw Crystal extremely hard against your door for thirty minutes. Then you threw Tristan out the front door and banned him and from what I gathered threw Crystal out your window.”
Steve said “Come on, we’ve got to go now!” and snatched Chip up.
Steve then rushed outside only to find Crystal and Tristan laying there. Dead.
Steve began to sob and said “If only my tears could turn back time! I’d do anything to hear Alex or Carol again!” and began to cry.
Chip said “Now Steve you always have me. I know it’s not even close to the same. But, it’s better than nothing right?”
Steve erupted into tears and said “I guess. Now my life is over because I have no girlfriends and one villager in my main village.”
Chip said “Well… I can try and clone all of them from a single hair.”
Steve said “All of them?””
“Yes.”
Chip then started to work on a cloning machine with help from Steve. Ten years later, they finished. By then Steve had pretty much forgotten his PvP days. When they tried to respawn Tristan, Tristan’s body came back
Steve hugged Tristan and said “I missed you so much!”
Tristan said “Geez Steve. Thanks, but I was only out for a few hours right?”
Steve said “One minute, I have to try and clone all of them”
Chip said “You were gone for ten years. Me and Steve worked on a cloning machine to clone everyone that matters to him”
Five hours later, he had cloned or respawned everyone except Alex and Carol. Alex just turned to dust.
Steve said “Maybe I can clone her from the dust.” through his tears.
Kathy came up to Steve and said “I’m sorry Steve, Chip told me everything he knew about Alex and Carol dying and if they’re dust, there’s no coming back. In fact if you hadn't tried in a year she would’ve respawned. I’m sorry”
Steve said “I will try and clone them now.”
Steve put the last lock of Alex’s hair and put it in the cloning machine. Alex didn’t come out. Steve grabbed a jar and swept the dust into the jar and labeled it Alex. Steve put the jar on his dresser. He then collapsed onto his bed in tears.
Tristan then ran in and said “Steve! Do you want to PvP me?”
Steve shook his head no and said “Thanks for the offer but, i’m gonna pass”
Tristan said “We better just let him cry this one out.”
Carol then came back to life and said “Steve? Where’s Alex?”
Steve pointed at the jar with the dust in it and started to cry. Carol said “Oh dear! You tried to respawn her. Right?”
Steve nodded and said “Yes”
Carol said “Listen, I can make a deal with Herobrine to respawn her… or at least turn her back into a body.”
Steve said “Okay.. Wait, what is it?”
“I can offer to become his assistant forever.”
Steve said “No! I love you too!”
“You could always still visit me.”
Steve said “Okay. I’ll break you out as soon as I can.”
Kathy then said “Steve, no! There is one way to respawn her.”
Steve said “Really? Intrigued”
Kathy said “The trained respawner. Call Minecraftnerd and tell her”
Steve pulled out his phone, called Minecraftnerd and said “Alex is now dust. May you please help!?”
Minecraftnerd said “I’ll be there with the trained repawner and the comforter in a few hours”
Steve said “Okay. She died of a deal I made with Herobrine if that makes a difference”
Minecraftnerd said “Of course that makes a difference! Was it a permanent death?”
“Sadly yes.”
“I’m sorry Steve. There is no way. You could sacrifice one of your villagers to respawn her.”
Steve said “What?! No way! I will never sacrifice one of my villagers! I would rather die than sacrifice one of my villagers!”
Kathy said “Me and Bob could sacrifice ourselves. Just care for Tristan. He’s currently in another village. I’ll call him now.”
Steve said “No, I think it would be best if I told him after”
“Are you sure? I mean he would probably want to spend as much time with us as he can before we sacrifice ourselves.”
Bob then came in and said “Kathy I will not sacrifice myself to Herobrine!”
Kathy said “Please Bob? It’s for Steve.”
Bob said “We really should ask Tristan.”
Steve called Tristan and said “Tristan, how would you feel if your parents sacrificed themselves to Herobrine?”
Tristan said “What?! I would fall apart if they did. Why do you ask? Did they do it?”
“Well, not yet they are planning on doing it to save Alex. I said I wouldn’t sacrifice my villagers but, your mother volunteered herself and your father”
“And you are actually LETTING THEM?!”
“Yes. I didn’t want to sacrifice anyone but they volunteered.”
“Okay. Just let them pick me up. We’ll meet in your village.”
“Which one?”
“The one I live in.”
“Okay. I’ll pack the necessities. I’ll start now. Goodbye for now, see you when you get back”
“Bye. Can we take the long way to get there?”
“I’ll see what I can do. Now bye. Your mother is on the way to pick you up.” and hung up.
Steve started to pack up everything he thought they would need.
Tristan and his mother arrived home just as Steve finished packing everything.
Tristan ran to Steve and said “Steve can you please pack dessert?”
Steve thought about it and said “Fine.” and packed up some cookies and cakes.
Tristan said “Is that enough to last there and back?”
Steve thought about it and said “No”
“Well then can you pack more?”
“I’m sorry no. My inventory needs some space for swords.”
“Please? Your PvP days are long gone because of what made you erupt into rage ten years ago.”
“I didn’t say they were for PvP. I may need them for that. But, in case of a hostile mob attack.”
Bob said “Umm Steve, I can pack some dessert.”
Steve said “Nope! Packing more dessert.”
Bob said “Please Steve give me another chance!”
“No! I’ve given you many chances!”
Then Steve finished packing.
Tristan said “Steve? Can I please take some food?”
“No! You’ll eat it all!”
Kathy cut in and said “Steve, he has great self control when it comes to food.”
Steve rolled his eyes and said “To make sure that’s true. I’ll lock him in the dining room and put cookies in front of him. If he doesn’t touch them for five minutes I will let him.”
Kathy said “Fine! Let me carry the food for the way there.”
“Fine”
Steve gave Kathy the food for the way there and they headed off.
