A year later Steve began to move.
Steve then woke up and said “Why am I home?”
Alex heard Steve and ran to her room and hugged Steve and said “Steve?”
Steve said “Alex!”
Alex hugged Steve and said “I missed you!”
Steve said “How did I do in the battle of the generation?”
Alex said “You got in the top five. Didn’t win though”
Steve cried “No!”
Zuri then came in to the sounds of Steve and said “Steve? Alex has been crying constantly since you died.”
Steve said “I can tell”
All the other kids came in and said “I thought he was dead!”
Steve said “I was. I did too. How long did it take for me to respawn?”
“Just over a year”
“Oh dear! How are the kids doing with school?”
Alex said “Let me be totally honest with you, Noor got kicked out forever. I’ve had to teach him and it has been painful on everyone!”
“Did you try and get him back in?”
“No, after the incident, I realized traditional education isn’t best for him.”
“What was it for?”
“Why doesn't he tell you?”!
Noor burrowed his face in his hands and said “I would feel better telling him somewhere where he’ll be less angry and without any of my siblings”
Alex said “Steve, go to t2he hot tub”
Steve changed and went into the hot tub. Noor followed and so did Alex.
Once Steve was totally relaxed he said “Ready”
Noor said “I skipped my dumb PvP class for a few days. Uurg, Alex makes me do more work on PvP than my teacher did!”
Steve said “Aww, who did you get for your PvP class?”
Noor said “You aren’t mad?”
“I may be. I know there is one PvP teacher that somehow makes everyone hate PvP. I in fact believe I had them when I was your age.”
Alex said “I thought you dropped out.”
“Yeah. I did, never mind. Just tell me and I promise it will soften the blow”
Noor said “I have Mrs. Valdez.”
Steve nodded and said “Okay, I heard she is the hardest one to work with, I think I can forgive you. Next time, tell me. I can help you with your assignments.”
“You were dead!”
Steve said “Yeah, I was wasn’t I?”
“Yeah you were”
Steve ruffled Noor’s hair and said “Aww, I’ll see if I can get you back in.”
Alex said “Noor… what else did you do?”
Noor said “I- I- I- threw my diamond sword at one of my teachers.”
Alex said “And?”
“I got into a fight with someone who said you died because you’re a failure”
Alex said “Good! Now, maybe he’ll be able to get you back in”
Steve said “Alex, I want everyone to think I’m dead. I don’t want any attention to be drawn to me.”
Alex said “At your age Steve, it’s normal to not want to be noticed but, I already told the council and the news team is on their way.”
Steve sighed and said “Tomorrow I’ll call the school and see if they want to let you back in.”
Noor said “I want to go to school but then I only have a limited amount of time I can stay in the bathroom a day.”
Steve said “How long do you have per day?”
“About 15 minutes.”
Steve sighed and said “Would like me to become a teacher at that school?”
Alex said “You should not do that. I have a feeling you will die again within a year and I want you to hang out with me as much as possible. I may go out once a week “
A few hours later,Ari tugged at Steve’s arm and said “Steve, we’re all hungry and there is someone at your door”
Steve saw it was the keeper of the inventory and they said “I’m sorry I took this. I’m kind of new to this.”
Steve said “Thanks for giving this back”
The keeper of the inventory said “Steve, I need you to watch my kids tomorrow. The daycare at the council building isn’t open tomorrow for some strange reason”
Steve said “How many kids do you have? How long do you need me to watch them? How old are they? Are they well behaved? From when? Lastly, how much will you pay me?”
“I have five kids. One is seven, two are five and two are 12.I need you to watch them from about 7:00 in the morning to 7:45 at night. So, 12 hours 45 minutes. None of them are well behaved. I’ll pay you 1,000 diamonds.”
Steve said “Umm okay”
Alex then came out and said “Steve, you’ll be the one in charge of them because I have a lot to do tomorrow.”
Steve said “And our kids?”
“You’ll be in charge of them”
“You think I can handle 12?! I can’t handle our seven easily”
