Two years later, Steve got let out.and was taken home.
When he got home, Alex welcomed him with open arms and said “Zuri’s doing great. She’s in fact at level 30”
Steve yelled “Zuri get down here!”
Alex said “She’s at school.”
Steve called Zuri and said”How was your first year at the PvP school?”
Zuri said “Listen Steve, I'm not even supposed to have my phone out right now. I’m currently in a class where we learn about legends.”
“Have you learned about me yet?”
Zuri laughed and said “We haven’t even learned anything yet.” and hung up.
When Alex felt Steve again, she said “You're awfully light now. How did that happen?!”
“I was only allowed one sweet berry every week.”
Alex said “What?! Those monsters! I will put some sense into them.”
Steve said “Alex.” cooly “Please don’t get involved in this! They will put you in the lava pool!”
Alex said “Okay Steve if that would make you feel better”
Alex then got a call from the school of redstone.
She picked it up and said “Hello?”
The one on the other end said “Your kid; Sunny will be receiving an award tomorrow for her outstanding score on the build she did over the summer. If you wouldn’t mind, she can become a redstone legend. Becoming a redstone legend is a lot harder than becoming a PvP legend though. To become a redstone legend you need to pay 500,000 diamonds and need to build a respawner in less than an hour. With no book to help.”
Steve overheard that and said “No! Redstone is very dangerous! If you fall off your build ever, it’s game over for your legend ability”
Alex said “We'll be there. What redstone award is she receiving?”
“Oh, the golden dust.”
Alex squealed and said “Is she really getting the golden dust award?!”
“Yes, don't tell her. Tell Steve though. Be there at noon.”
“Where is there?”
“Umm the redstone council building” and hung up.
Alex said “Steve, tomorrow we’ll be sending none of the kids to school”
Steve yelled “So they can ruin-”
Alex said “Steve! Sunny has won the golden dust redstone award for what she did this summer! We’re all going to the redstone council building for tomorrow at noon.”
Steve carefully decided how he was going to word what he said and once he decided said “For some reason the redstone council hates all other types of legend that are over 70”
Alex pinned Steve to the wall and said “You listen here mister! This could be the biggest day in her life! You’re coming!” harshly.
Steve sighed and said “Okay” but if I miss my old favorite show when we’re gone, I blame you!”
Alex sighed and said “I don’t know how to say this. But, that show isn’t a thing anymore. It went off the air because so many legends were complaining about how stale it got.”
Three hours later, Everyone but Noor and Zuri came home.
A half hour later, Noor came home.
A quarter hour later Zuri came home with a bunch of gifts for Alex.
Zuri said :”Alex, today we did a giant tribute to Steve. Because well…nobody’s heard from him in two years. Usually if a legend goes missing for that long, they died”
Steve said “Aww Zuri, how I wish I would have texted you.”
Zuri looked over at Steve and said “I suppose you would like to tell the council you’re still alive.”
Steve said “They already all know”
Efe hugged Steve and said “You’ve gotten skinny!”
Alex said “I know. He has a very good reason”
Sunny said “Steve! It looks like you have a secret. Same with you Alex.”
Alex and Steve both said “What secret? We don’t have any secrets” and laughed nervously.
Sunny said “Hmm… It was a little suspicious how Steve just said no secrets and didn’t repetitively ask me for my secret.”
Steve said “I’m a changed man now! I don’t get angry when people ask me what my secret is”
Alex said “Steve meet me in our room.”
Steve and Alex headed to their room and when Steve saw the room adorned with photos of him smiling in his arena, he smiled to himself and said “Aww, you turned our entire room into a shrine to me. Even when you knew I was alive.”
Alex said “You think this is crazy?! You should just see Zuri’s room.”
Steve headed to Zuri’s room to see her doing her homework. He also saw a ton of photos of him on the wall and also a bunch of statues of him and scale models of his arena,
Steve said “Hey Zuri sweetie, I think you could go for a little help.”
Zuri said “Steve, it felt weird you not being there for me when Iwas rising to the ranks. By the way, I’m now at level 30”
Steve’s jaw dropped and he started to cry.
Zuri led him over to her bed and sat him down. She then sat next to him and said “What’s wrong?”
“Oh, it’s just that” he cried harder “I didn’t get to see you rise to past the halfway mark”
Zuri said “The halfway mark?”
Steve stopped crying and said “Let me see. How to explain this. There are only 50 levels, I’m at 25. But after 25, it is insanely hard to make it to the next level. I mean I may be 35 but no more”
Zuri said “You don’t know your own rank?”
“Yeah. If I knew I would be a lot happier.”
“Here I can show you how to check. Hand over your phone”
Steve handed over his phone and said “I’ll log on” and logged on
Zuri then went to the PvP website and told Steve to log on.
Steve logged on and Zuri navigated to how to figure out ranks.
When she saw the rank he was at, Zuri said “Steve,you’re at level 50 and you're ranked third”
Steve said “Great!”
Alex then came up and said “Zuri, would you mind leaving me and Steve need to talk about an event tomorrow”
“Why not go to your own room?”
“Yeah”
Steve and Alex went to their room and shut the door.
Steve said “What is it?”
Alex said “Steve, Sunny found out.”
“How?”
She saw me enter it into the callander”
Steve said “Can’t you just tell her she was seeing things?”
“No, I already said “Yeah”
Steve said “Give her some memory wipe potion.”
“No! That is unreliable and who knows what else it will delete.”
Steve said “Is that it? I have to help Zuri with her work.”
“Yeah we’re done”
Then Sunny and Zuri knocked on Steve’s door and said they needed help with their homework.
Steve said “Alex, you help Sunny, I help Zuri”
Alex said “No way mister! I’ve got to make dinner”
“Steve sighed and said “Alrighty”
Steve said “Everyone to the dining table”
Then Zuri got a call from the council and Zuri picked it up and said “What is it?” and groaned
Steve hissed “Never say anything in that tone to the council. They can remove you so fast.”
“Sorry”
The council said “You have been nominated for the PvP legend of the millennium award. We’re about to call Steve and tell him that he won that award in the 70 and older category.. Show up at the council building at 5:00 in the evening tomorrow”
Zuri said “Steve, I have been nominated for the PvP master of the millennium award”
Steve then got a call from the council saying the same thing as they said to Zuri but with 6:30 instead of five.”
Steve squealed and said “Oh my gosh?! Does this mean I’m nominated for the overall one?”
The council said “We aren’t able to tell anyone that. By the way, if you’re a minute late, your seat will be taken by PvP haters. And you and Zuri better have a speech prepared” and hung up
Steve said “I better get a speech prepared for tomorrow.”
